The Vienna Festival features Swiss artist Massimo Furlan who re-enacts the Córdoba match: a solo performance in real time.

From the herz:rasen show at the Technical Museum to the short film “Eleven Minutes“: football has conquered Austria’s cultural scene. Also the Vienna Festival (May 9 to June 15, 2008) cannot avoid the dominant subject EURO 08 and features several projects with a major emphasis on football.

Starring King Football

A special goodie for Austrian fans: the re-enactment of the Miracle of Córdoba at Gerhard Hanappi Stadium. In the role of Hans Krankl for 90 minutes, Swiss artist Massimo Furlan re-enacts Krankl’s legendary performance that lead to Austria’s victory over Germany. You can expect a happy end, at least for the fans of the team in red-white-red football shirts.
